The Mission of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library is to provide excellence in library service to all who seek access to information and recreational, educational, and cultural materials of any format. Sign up for a Full-Service Library Card in person at the front Checkout Desk. If you are over 16, we will need to see a photo ID with proof of your current address. If you've just moved to the area, a utility bill in your name, along with a photo ID will do. Patrons under 16 must have the signature of their parent or guardian to obtain a card.

The mission of the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library Local History Archives is to preserve the history of the communities of Stow and Munroe Falls, Ohio. Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library will preserve and maintain these materials for future generations using accepted preservation methods, and provide access to the materials under safe and secure conditions.

The aim of the paper was to "Keep up with Stow", featuring news on local government, schools, businesses, churches, youth sports, and clubs. Unfortunately, the paper was not financially viable and stopped publication after only one year. The Ohio History Connection (previously known as The Ohio Historical Society) digitized the newspapers, providing the library with both microfilm and digital files.

Stow, Ohio was first settled in 1804. Known as Stow Corners, the intersection of what are now Darrow Rt. 91) and Kent (Rt. 59 Roads, was the center of community life for many years. Stow Corners held a post office in the home of Titus Wetmore, a stagecoach stop, a tavern, a school, and several residences in the early 19th century.
